Design with an editorial mindset.
Hi there :)

A little bit about me.

By daylight, I study Global Business & Digital Arts at the University of Waterloo. By moonlight, I create star-studded visual identities and digital products for startups. I'm currently searching for a Summer 2025 design internship where I can find new ways to make more people happy through good design.

I'm intrigued by UX because of its versatility; being both the story behind good products and the reason they make sense to users.
01
I'm always questioning.
I think that curiosity is both my superpower and greatest weakness. I want to know how anything and everything works — & I'm usually not afraid to ask questions ;)
02
My design ethos.
My work centres around simplicity, delight, and freedom. While I believe that the success of design is how it helps a user accomplish their goals— the experience that gets them there should always be delightful :)
03
What I do in my free time.
I love hosting silly events (pudding designathon or cursed clay night anyone?), mentoring at hackathons, and reading HCI papers as part of a feminist reading group. I also write grants for non-profits and am a member of Waterloo's Humans vs Zombies club. Open to freelance opportunities :-]
01
Identify
I start with identifying and specifying all components of the project. This process entails examining the client's purpose and requirements, developing user personas, researching competitors and the market, etc.
02
Design
I begin to envision the project's visual story. I begin by planning, researching and designing concepts that will aid in the creation of a pleasurable and easy-to-use interface and experience that functions as a problem solver.
03
Deliver
When the design is accepted and approved by the client at the conclusion of the project, I collaborate with developers to ensure that reality fits the concept/idea.
Explore
/ -_- / I'm a Canadian that permanently feels cold.

Outside of the office, you may find me sampling different teas, installing more fonts (I'm at 308 typefaces now), and finding more cats to pet.

my likes:
and oversized type.
inappropriate amounts of grain. text emoticons, (sweet) melon flavouring,
My dislikes:
feeling cold, judgement without empathy.
and bitter melon.

A parting note...
Not enough information in my one pager? Reach out to me below if you'd to get snacks together :) I'm always looking for new design friends and more design opportunities.

Awards & Certificates
Here are some classes I've taken recently, and small awards that I've won. In reverse chronological order, they document a timeline of my progression throughout writing, art, and presently, UX :)
